The Goonies Adventures. 

If you haven’t seen the movie “Goonies” then you’ll have no idea what I’m about to talk about. And that's ok, I don't want to talk to you. 

 

The Goonies reminds me of childhood. It’s such a classic.

The movie was filmed on Cannon Beach and around Astoria Oregon USA. It’s  about a 2 hour car ride from Portland. 

 

Some friends and I decided to check out Cannon Beach first. 

It is such a cute little beach town. We didn’t spend much time there, but we saw the famous beach and saw Haystack Rock. 

Most notably, the Haystack Rock is in the scene where the Fratelli's escape from a police chase on Cannon Beach. 

It was majestic to see in real life. 

 

Next stop was Astoria. 

 

I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve never seen anything like it. 

It was like a city frozen in time. 

Old and unique. 

 

The city is very proud of the Goonies being filmed there. They created a museum of what was the County Jail in the movie. Did I go to the museum? Fuck ya.

 

Astoria is seriously Cute As Fuck. 

I need to go back.
